4 Powerful Reasons Why You Must Add A Podcast

Podcast can drive extra traffic and it can work like a magnet which stores your brands names in a readers mind.

Here are 7 reasons why you must have a podcast on your website:

1. A Podcast is More Captivating For The Audience:

Audience readers love to listen to someone instead of read the generic text. Listening is so much better than reading. Here is an example. Imagine for one second you just visited a website which was offering some information that you were looking for. All the content is written in text and it has all the information you need. Now, you visit another website which has the same information, the same quality of information but in an audio format. The audio format is Podcast. And you listen to it.

So which one would you prefer? It's very likely that you would prefer accessing the information through the audio podcast rather than read the whole text. The audio principle works similarly for YouTube and the entire Television and for that matter any video, any movie, any video presentation. You will always find listening and viewing video more captivating than reading.  Podcast gives your website visitors and subscribers the pleasures of listening to you. Isn’t that awesome?

2. Podcast Increases Product Sales:

Digital marketers, SEO specialists, Business coaches, mentors and entrepreneurs have always understood the power of adding interesting content to a website. Adding interesting content, relevant content, content which makes your brand look different viz a viz to your competitor will always convert potential users to actual buyers.

Podcast is one powerful medium that you as  a website owner or a blogger or a product seller can make use. There are several other medium which marketers and sellers use in digital world to increase website sales. Some of these are the use of digital banners for display ads, making product information on YouTube Videos, adding a catalog in PDF format etc etc.  Podcast too are a part of this ever growing list.
Here are some tips on how to use a podcast to increase product sales:

  1. Introduce your products on a Podcast
  2. Invite guest on podcast show to review your product.
  3. Ask other podcasters in your network to showcase your product.
  4. Get invited to other podcasters blogs and then mention your product.
  5. Review a niche level product of a small to a medium size company. Tell them that you review their product. If they like the review they will go out and spread the word and in turn will increase traffic to your website.

3. Podcast Can Be Used To Make Sale Pitches:

Podcasts can do wonders for your sales funnel if done properly. You must know your product well and what triggers converts a prospect into a buyer. Create a product for each of your products and include relevant product pitches and triggers and then see the magic. Prospects will start funneling into your sales process and ultimately on to your successful order placement page.  There are several ways a prospect will enter into the funnel. They might have read an interesting blog article written by you and now they are curious about your product, or they could have seen a YouTube video that you posted where you mentioned what your company sells, or they heard from someone about your excellent services and they want to try it too. Podcast is another of these methods, the sales funnel methods that can add to your sales. Make a product pitch in a Podcast show and increase the probability of your prospects ending up with you as your esteemed customer.

4. Add More Content To A Page With a Podcast Transcript:

Podcasts can be converted to text. Now the question is why would you want to transcribe the Podcast in first place?

If Work Becomes Monotonous Then Follow These Steps

At Etranscriber.net (a online transcriber service) we have to transcribe several hour of speech into text every day as part of our job. This means our team of transcriptionists sits hours on end to when typing out a file. There are several times when the job become monotonous. So we interviewed one of our team members is George Huang and asked him how we personally manages long sessions at work.

George, as an  US Based IT professional with several years experience in online interview transcription on his resume. He gave us some tips on how he takes frequent breaks at works to refresh himself.

Work in Small Batches of Time.

I work continuously for 75 minutes then take a break of 15 minutes.
Do stretching exercise once a day. So I do simple stretching exercises that does not seem offensive. Like stretching my arms in all possible directions, bending down, talking a walk on the stairs. I have also kept a squeeze ball in my table. Whenever my wrists and arms feel a little lethargic I use the magic squeeze ball.

  1. Remember taking frequent breaks of small duration is the 'Key.
  2. Listen to a new genre of song in one of your breaks.
  3. Read a SMS joke or a show a meme to your colleague:
  4. Bring a newspaper to work: I always bring a newspaper to work. I do not have the time to finish it fully. But what I do go over it and give it a glance every now and then. It just keeps me going. Just glancing over the newspaper images refreshes the mind.
  5. Work on your hobby while at work: I have a pin board on my cabin wall. So I keep putting up motivation posters, quotes on the wall and keep replacing the old ones. So this keeps me busy too.
  6. Social Media: I kept the best for last. And this does not need any mention. If I need a refreshment I just check my Facebook page or post something on Twitter or Tumblr. These days I am writing content for my company's blog which you will online in a few weeks time.

George shares with us "Lots of companies are now thinking of employee satisfaction. Fighting monotonous work is one area they are particular interested in. Google and Facebook offices among tech industry space are good examples"

Do Low Prices Mean a Compromise? Not Always.

Etranscriber.net has been offering online transcriber services and audio transcription services for 6 plus years now. When Etranscriber.net started the business venture  back in 2009 we had made a point to keep our rates as low as possible. And we can proudly say we have kept our promise. There is a common perception that low prices might mean some compromise would happen elsewhere i.e. either in quality department or in the serviceability aspects. Well, as far as our company is concerned, we follow a 3 point agenda.

Agenda #1: Make typing services affordable for everybody who needs it.
Agenda#2: Etranscriber's typing service should be highly accurate.
Agenda#3: Etranscriber will focus on customer happiness and satisfaction.

We have maintained our solemn of promise of providing valuable services to all our customers till date.

Low prices need not mean compromise.
Let's take McDonalds for examples. Their Happy Meals are one of the best selling items on their menu. Why? Firstly, they offer so much value to the customer.  Inside a Happy Meal you get a burger, French fries or hash brown and something to drink. A complete meal by itself. The Happy Meal really makes the customer happy and makes them come back for more. So clearly, McDonalds has offered an excellent quality product without downgrading the quality of the food.

Low prices means 'Customer is King'
Companies can differentiate between competitors on basis of price alone. Doing so leads to a price war which often brings down prices by 20 to 30 percent. In that even the likelihood of degrading quality is low? Why? Because it is a price war which has brought the prices down. Inflation, on the other hand is one of a major cause in degradation of quality of a product. So for example rising fuel prices, there for resulting in dearness of employee cost, increase in business travel cost, utility bills etc. forces companies to increase their prices. If a company chooses to stay put the prices then one can expect lowering in quality and service.

The Etranscriber Motto: Our company's motto is to follow the above 3 point agenda. We want to extend our typing services at affordable rates. And submit excellent quality transcripts. And maintain the rates as long as possible for years so that the customer doesn't think twice before hiring a transcriptionist like us.

How does Etranscriber.net gives better value for money?
Let's take a look at the following three general transcription:

1. Academic and University Transcriptions: Our services come highly recommended by Universities, lecturers, Doctoral Students and scholars, we don't charge anything over and above other than what is mentioned in the rate card. There are no extra charges for transcribing a conference call with multiple speakers. There are no extra charges for transcribing a audio presentation or a seminar with multiple stage speakers.

2. Legal transcription: Paralegal services need quick and sometimes rush transcription services by Etranscriber.net. We offer rush transcription at one of the lowest prices per minute of audio i.e. $1.25/minute. The price is inclusive of difficult recordings with background noise, difficult to understand accents and even identification of multiple interviewees.

3. No charges for choice of Transcript format: Clients can request to receive the final transcript in any or all of the current popular formats. Some of these are Microsoft Word, both .Doc and .DocX format, PDF format, .Txt file etc.

4. Revisions at no extra cost: Customers can request for changes in the transcript such as formatting requests at no extra cost. We entertain multiple revisions and encourage our clients to get in touch with us if they are having technical problems in formatting any transcript. Note: This can be done at any point of time even when the transcription order has been completed.

One of our long term client Eva K. Harrington is a lawyer by profession. She specializes in company lawsuits of American firms. A few months back she was on the market looking to hire someone who could transcribe several hours of deposition for her. Eva shares her story of finalizing a transcription service. "…Initially after my research I came up by a number of legal transcriptionists who were charging more than $1.25 per minute. Since this is on the higher side my initial reaction was they would be better since they are charging a premium. And then I came across your website www.etranscriber.net. Looking at the affordable prices I thought to give it a try. And I am glad that I found you guys. Etranscriber.net did a wonderful job transcribing the depositions. I will definitely hire your services again in the near future"

7 Ways to put YouTube Transcripts to Use

Here are 7 ways in which YouTube transcripts can be put to use:

1. References and Citations:
A citation is a quotation or an extract from some source for reference purpose. Usually the sources include books, newspapers, research publications, magazines, letters, manuscript etc. So by transcribing YouTube videos one can use parts of spoken text as citations. One word of caution: Make sure to include the source along with the Author name. Other details such as date of publication, year of publication, edition number, for which university or research institution the article was published, such information can also be mentioned. If space is scarce then including the authors name and date of publication is sufficient.

2. Add YouTube Transcripts To Your Blog:
One of the best possible uses of a YouTube transcript is to cut and paste the full verbatim transcript into a blog. Blog owners usually struggle with adding fresh content to their websites. Struggle happens when one has to think of new topics, fresh ideas of presentations and news content when there the topics have already been mentioned or talked about, or, when there is very limited scope of sharing new content due to the product or service. For example a company selling mosquito protection nets would find it difficult to add fresh pages to their website's blog. On the other hand an photographer or a painter could be flowing with lots of creative ideas and things to talk about and Tweet about. So if one is running out of website content pages then consider adding a full YouTube verbatim transcript to your website.

Tip: Always include a verbatim transcript below the YouTube video.

3. Compilation Of Transcripts Into An EBook.
Here is another fantastic method of putting YouTube text to something useful. Website users, authors and publishers can compile all the verbatim text conversation of YouTube videos into an Ebook on a monthly or a biweekly timeframe. Ebooks can be published onto Amazon Kindle book services, Issuu, Scribd etc. Also, citations and references can be extracted and made part of Ebook pages.  Thus it makes the life of a content manager or an author so much easier when you have some ready sources of your content.

4. Content material for Marketing Materials: Thinking of fresh, innovative and snappy digital marketing ideas is a common problem that marketers face. Digital marketers and SEO specialists are now beginning to realize power of YouTube video transcription. Here are seven ways in which YouTube Transcripts are being used by website marketers:

A. SeoMoz inserts a video transcript below each of their WhiteBoard Friday videos.
B. Marketers are making dual purpose of YouTube transcripts by using time coded YouTube subtitles.
C. Digital marketers are taking help of Facebook video transcription service by Etranscriber.net to improve on video viewing experience.

5. Direct content for Weekly/Monthly Newsletter:
YouTube embedded videos can be embedded into your email newsletters. And one can place the 1st minute of transcribed video text in big quotes. The text acts as an interesting teaser which can evoke readers interest and lead him to click on the link in the newsletter.

6. Video Logs:
Vlog or Video log is a type of a blog in the form of small length videos posted on a frequent basis. It is also known as Vlogging compared to what is known traditionally which is 'Blogging'. Vlogs are usually short video posts which run under 7 minutes.

7. Cataloging information:
Most people have not considered this but cataloging by the means of a transcript can also be done. This is especially used in financial transcription where insurance reports are transcribed and catalogued. Similarly videos from Youtube, Daily Motion and Vimeo can be transcribed, converted to text and catalogues.

So as you can see there are several benefits of converting a YouTube video into a transcript.

Rates of Youtube Transcription: Prices for converting a YouTube video to text  starts at $0.85/minute of video for a 3 day turnaround. 24 hour Rush transcription is also available at the rate of $1.25/minute.
